Due to a variety of factors, Keen Point Consulting works with a diverse base of clients throughout the nation, including non-profits, academia, government, industry and small, minority and women-owned business clients. 

 

The following is a sample of client projects performed by the President of Keen Point Consulting: 

Federal Agency

U.S Dept. of Transportation -  While working at Battelle, served as Principal Investigator and co-author of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Study, “Key Findings and Recommendations for Technology Transfer at the ITS JPO” – this report recommended technology transfer approaches for the U.S. DOT by analyzing technology transfer best practices in other Federal agencies, academia, and industry.

 

NASA Glenn Research Center - As a project manager at Battelle, led the NASA Glenn Garrett Morgan Commercialization Initiative (GMCI) – an $867K, technology commercialization initiative designed to increase the competitiveness of small and small-disadvantaged businesses through enhanced access to NASA technology, programs, and expertise.

  • As part of NASA Glenn GMCI, managed the 2007 GMCI Commercialization Awards Competition – provided three, $50,000 awards to small business selected with the best plan for commercializing a NASA-related technology.

State Economic Development

New Hampshire EPSCoR (Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research) - Co-authored the “New Hampshire University Research and Industry Plan”, which describes NH’s innovations strengths in advanced manufacturing, information systems and biosciences and outlines strategies for the state to capitalize on these opportunities to grow and accelerate the state’s innovation-led development.  Direct link to view the NH University Research and Industry Plan Report.

State of Louisiana Economic Development - Performed an Inventory of University Assets and Alignment with Industry Requirements in Emerging Technology Sectors.

Economic Development Organization

Greater Phoenix Economic Council - Developed a Targeted Marketing and Business Development Strategy for Arizona in Flexible Electronics.

 

Connecticut Innovations - Conducted a consulting study focused on a Strategic Assessment and Implementation of Industry Partnership Opportunities for the University of Connecticut.

Other Associations & Organizations

U.S. Economic Development Administration & State of Illinois - Supervised the Cima Technology Center – a $750K, small, high-technology business incubator/accelerator and workforce development program in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood.  Work included providing customized, entrepreneurial support for small businesses and assisting Wright Community College with the implementation of information technology certification training for students.

 

Worcester Business Development Corporation (WBDC) - Developed the Worcester (MA) Technology and Idea Development Exchange (TIDE) Accelerator Business Plan - plan was a prime contribution to the successful application by WBDC for a one-million-dollar grant award by the U.S. Economic Development Administration.

 

Advancing Minorities’ Interests in Engineering (AMIE) - Performed a study for Building a Partnership Between Naval Sea Systems Command and The Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Schools of Engineering.
